Each cruise line has its own policy for age criteria; therefore cruise line policies regarding age criteria will vary depending on the cruise selected. Below, you will find a general guideline to policies for age. We will be happy to verify any details regarding age criteria that you might have for your particular cruise.

Q: At what age are passengers served alcoholic beverages?

Q: Are there restrictions involving infants and pregnant passengers?
A: Some restrictions may apply for taking an infant on board depending, once again, on the cruise line. The same restrictions may apply to a pregnant passenger.

Q: Are there restrictions for traveling with children?
A:
There is a minimum age requirement for children staying in a cabin separate from the adults that they are cruising with. Cruise lines require that one person in each cabin meet minimum age requirements.

Q: What restrictions apply to passengers under 25 years of age?
A:
All cruise lines have different age criteria for their passengers. The following is a sampling of what the cruise lines require.

  • At least one person per cabin has a minimum age of 18.
  • All passengers in a cabin be 18 years of age or more OR if anyone in the cabin is 18 years old or younger, someone in the cabin must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Some cruise lines require that at least one passenger be at least 21 years of age in each cabin.
  • All passengers in a cabin must be 21 years of age or older; if not, one passenger must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Married couples aged 18-25 are allowed on cruise lines, but may be asked to provide proof of marriage.
