One concern for the cruise passenger that flies to a port of embarkation is timing of the flight. It is imperative that the flight land early enough that you can get to the cruise ship with plenty of time for boarding your ship.
Please consider your options carefully when making your arrangements for travel to your ship.
Q: Can I make my own flight arrangements?
A: Yes, you can book your own flight. By doing
so you will be able to schedule the airline you wish to fly, and
the day and time of your flight. This allows you greater flexibility
for your travel plans. With this flexibility you might be subject
to unexpected consequences. If your flight is delayed or cancelled;
if your ship changes its arrival or departure time; or your sailing
is cancelled, you might be forced to change or rebook your cruise.
If any of the above situations occur before or during your cruise,
you will NOT receive assistance from the cruise line. If you choose
this option, we suggest that you arrive at your port of embarkation
one day prior to sailing.
Q: Can I make both flight and cruise
arrangements with Cruise Away USA?
A: Yes, you can book your flight with Cruise
Away USA while we are making your cruise arrangements. If you
make Air-Sea arrangements with us, we can offer the following
services:
- Additional protection for a delayed flight, changes of ship arrival and departure times, and cancellation of a sailing. This helps ensure that passengers booked on the Air-Sea packages are not left behind.
- Convenience of the cruise line meeting a passenger at the airport and transportation to the pier. The transfer is usually free or at a nominal charge.
- Cruise line Air-Sea accommodations can usually be booked for typically busy days—Holidays, Saturdays and Sundays—and at other busy times of the day, saving you money from an extra day of travel.
